New Machine Design Again

Well I have my taxes to do and no machine to do them on so it’s time to build my machine.

Here are the specs:
Asus A7N8X-E Deluxe
AMD ATHLON 2800+ XP 512KB PROCESSOR - AXDA2800BOX.
2 512Meg Dual-Channel DDR 400 Dimms
2 Model: 6Y120M0 120GB Serial ATA SATA-150 8MB Cache 7200 RPM.
Pine PV T36KUA GeForce FX 5700 AGP 8x - 256 MB
ENERMAX SERVER CASE, W/300 WATT PS, BEIGE

I wanted to go AMD 64 but the prices are still to high. But I figured in a year or two I will up grade to one.

Now if I can just get the office done to put the machine.

    I’d rather have an AMD 64, but you are correct about the prices. Maybe in a few months I’ll get to building a new machine and the pricess will be lower. Right now I’m too busy pieceing together parts for my 25 MHz Sparc 1+ webserver.

    Sweet looking specs dude :) The 300 watt ps seems a little low in this day and age though, I’d go 350 and add on a cd burner/dvd player :)
