Last Sunday I saw a sweet ’65 VW Microbus on my way back from Flemington. I went back on Friday to take a look at it. The body was in perfect shape…no body rust, the pan was rust free. The interior need a new head liner and the dash needed some work around the radio but other then that it looked good. I was unable to look a the engine because I didn’t have the key to open the hatch but I crawled under it and it looked good. It was leaking a little oil but what VW air cooled engine doesn’t. The guy wanted $8000 for it so I had to sleep on it…. Well I waited for today to call him.. I left a message and he got back to me and told me I was a day late…..he had sold it yesterday…..
The search goes on….I am looking for a 65-67 VW Microbus that has little to know rust on it and runs… I want to use it as a daily driver for the summer months……
